Famous people tag

I don't know why I'm using this gif as the opening gif of this post. It's pretty, I guess. And it's so story-inspirational. My favourite is the lady in the red dress. :-) I like to imagine that she's searching for her lover (who is the guy with the brown top and white shorts and who is - in return - looking for her) but they look different ways and never find. *Insert Anne-Shirley-type ending* Anyway. Let's go on without further ado.

Hello everyone! I am going to start a Famous-People-Tag. I came up with this idea when I was, lately, listening to songs of several famous Vintage singers and when I realised how much I enjoy the 'Famous People book' we have at home. I don't know why, but there's something about famous people... I  mean, we all have our favourite famous people, right? Actors, singers, professors, clothes-designers... you get the point. So therefore I decided to make a little Famous-People-Tag.

~My Answers ~
#1 Who's your favourite singer/group? The Andrews Sisters, definitely. I'm seriously addicted to this classy, vintage trio. My favourite of their songs are, 'Don't sit under the apple tree,' 'Hey Daddy', 'The Jumpin' Jive', 'Boogie Woogie bugle boy,' and 'You've got to Accentuate the Positive', which they sing with Bing Crosby. I also love Vera Lynn, Judy Garland and Bing Crosby. Yes, I know - I'm dashed old-fashioned.

#2 If your favourite male actor was in the same room as you right now, what would your reaction be? My favourite male actor is Dan Stevens. If he were in the room I'd squeal, but try to say calm. I'd say hello and ask loads of questions about Downton Abbey.  Oh, I'd accuse him of leaving. Of course.
#3 Is there a famous person you used to love but (due to something they have done in their life) you've suddenly changed your mind? This lady is Rénee Zellweger. Yes. I know. I couldn't believe it either. Because it's not Rénee Zellweger, right? It's just... not. But it is. This is our one and only beloved Miss Potter. We will never see her unique, 'real' face again - it's lost forever. Rénee has changed her whole face and oh - I can't even recognise her. This makes me so sad.
#4 Name a famous person you like who's name starts with a V. I admit it. I asked this question so that I could have the excuse to mention Vera Lynn. I love Vera Lynn sooo much! I wish I had her voice!
#5 What's one of your favourite red-carpet dresses? Nowadays many of them are absolutely disgusting, but I managed to find one I like. :D
#6 Who's your favourite Royal person? I suppose I should say Kate Middleton, right? But no, the honour goes to Queen Elizabeth - probably the most famous lady in the world. She's adorable - I'd love to meet her one day. :-)
#7 Who's your favourite child actor/tress? I don't really know actually. I don't have that many favourites. I like Lucy Boynton, though. She's been in many nice Period Dramas and I always enjoyed watching her. She was 'young Beatrix Potter' in 'Miss Potter', 'Posie' in 'Ballet Shoes', and 'Margaret' in 'Sense and Sensibility 2008.'
#8 Is there an actor/actress you actually like their private lives of? (Not sure if that last question was properly phrased.) If Vera Lynn is an actor (which she is, as she acted in four old movies (although she's famous for her singing, not her acting)), it's her. She did lots of charity work and only married once and stayed loyal to him. As far as I know she didn't date millions of people either. :-)

#9 Do you think that the actors/actresses have improved these last 100 years? No. Not. at. all. Vintage actors and actresses had more good looking, had more grace and poise, were far better dressed and so on. Maybe the actors/tresses nowadays have better acting. Just mayyybe.

#10 What's the weirdest famous-people name? Kate Winslet named her son 'Bear'. That's pretty weird.

#11 Do you think you look like a famous person? Which one(s)? I like thinking I look a little like the second Andrews Sister - Maxene Andrews. Just a little. :-)
(That's Maxene Andrews at the left.)
#12 Share your favourite famous-person quote. I love Princess Diana's quote: 'Family is the most important thing in the world.' I also really like Audrey Hepburn's quotes - especially, 'I love people who make me laugh.' If you look at my sidebar you can see some more of my favourites. :-)

#13 Who's your favourite dancer? FRED ASTAIRE. The end.
#14 Why is your favourite actress your favourite one? When did you decide that she was your favourite? My favourite actress is Julia Sawalha. I loved her as Lydia Bennet and as Mercy Chuzzlewit (and I also loved her in Cranford!) - but I decided that she was my favourite after watching her as Dorcas Lane in Lark Rise to Candleford. Julia Sawalha is a great actress - she can put of serious roles with great charm and yet she's hilarious in bouncy, silly roles. I wish she did more Period Drama's!
#15 Have you ever met/seen/been close to a famous person? I admit I'm looking forward to read my nominees answers. :-) Me? I've been pretty close to Prince Philip of Belgium (he's King of Belgium now, but I saw him when he was Prince) - and I've seen his daughter, Elizabeth (future queen of Belgium) lots of times as she goes to the same music school as I used to go to! I wasn't in her class, but I saw her lots of times. With all the bodyguards. :-) It was really nice. Poor girl - all the stares she got from me. :-)
